Learn the basics of wheel throwing and create something that lasts forever!
Service Description
In this 90 minute lesson I will begin with a quick tour of the kiln area where I'll explain firing and clay process a bit. Followed by a short 5-7 minute demo on the wheel showing you the step by step throwing process. Then the rest of the time is yours to create! I will assist you in throwing and teaching you techniques to help you succeed. After your throwing lesson is complete I will trim, bisque fire, glaze and then glaze fire your piece. The whole process will take approximately 4-5 weeks. Then your piece will be ready to pick up from my studio or shipped to your home. Just to be clear, you are signing up for a private one on one pottery experience! This is not a group class with other people. Session Includes: 90 minutes of one on one instruction Materials 1-2 finished pieces This class is recommended for ages 7 and up. If you have anyone younger that is interested in clay I would recommend my Play with Clay class. It's great for all ages! The hours of studio classes are limited, if none of these times work send me an email and we can set up a time that works for you. Before you book this lesson, make sure to read the Things to Know page. It has important information like parking, arrival time, what to wear, weather and how your nails can interfere with the throwing process. Please read it before you book! Location will be sent once you have booked the session.

Cancellation Policy
In the event you cannot make it to your scheduled class you need to contact me to reschedule at least 24 hrs in advance. If no contact is made your entire payment will not be refunded. If you are more than 30 minutes late then your lesson will be canceled and your payment cannot be refunded. If you communicate far enough in advance and want to reschedule I can make it work. In the case that you need to cancel or rebook your lesson I cannot refund you your entire payment. There is a 5% transactional fee that my website charges me with every purchase, so if you need a refund you will be refunded the amount of your lesson minus 5%. Keep this in mind before booking. I have this policy in place because every time someone cancels, my website can charge me anywhere from $5-$15 depending on the booking.
