 EMMA ANSELM

BIOGRAPHY

Central Coast native, Emma Anselm knew she had a passion for pottery in her first ceramics class at arroyo grande high school in 2014. From there the dream of becoming a potter never stopped. she took classes at community college, local studios and eventually transferred to san francisco state university in 2018. In March of 2020, the pandemic put her plans of studying abroad on hold and that is when Clay Babe Ceramics was born.  During that time she created and sold pots at makers markets, local shops and even at pop up shop, SLOcally Made. When it was finally safe to travel, she finished up her last two semesters at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. With her Bachelors Degree in studio Arts completed, she is now a full time potter and aspiring teacher.
