Service Description

If you’re looking for a fun activity for a large group or maybe you're not quite ready for the wheel, hand building is a super fun activity for anyone. During this 90 minute lesson you have the option of making a bowl or mug. I’ll first start with a short 10-15 minute demo going through the slab and coiling methods you’ll be using to create your piece. After the demonstration, the rest of the time is yours to create. You will be rolling out the clay, cutting it to size, attaching it together and finally smoothing it all out. I will have easy to follow step by step instructions printed out on your station so don’t worry if you feel overwhelmed! The class is designed so that you can go at your own pace and also feel supported through the steps. After the lesson, the clay process is not over. I will then bisque fire, glaze and then glaze fire your piece before it’s ready for you to pick up. It’ll take about 4-5 weeks until your piece is completely finished. This class is designed for all ages with easy to follow beginner instruction. Anyone of any age is welcome! Session Includes: 90 minutes- 2 hours of instruction Materials 1 finished piece The hours of studio classes are limited, if none of these times work send me an email and we can set up a time that works for you. It has important information like parking, arrival time, what to wear, weather and how your nails can interfere with the throwing process. Cancellation Policy

In the event you cannot make it to your scheduled class you need to contact me to reschedule at least 24 hrs in advance. If no contact is made your payment will not be refunded.
