One on One Lesson

Service Description

In this 90 minute lesson I will begin with a quick tour of the kiln area where I'll explain firing and clay process a bit. Followed by a short 5-7 minute demo on the wheel showing you the step by step throwing process. Then the rest of the time is yours to create! I will assist you in throwing and teaching you techniques to help you succeed. During the lesson you will be able to throw two pieces and at the end you can decide to keep one or both of them. The first piece is included in the price, the second piece is an additional $5 if you decide you want it fired. After your throwing lesson is complete I will trim, bisque fire, glaze and then glaze fire your piece. The whole process will take approximately 4-5 weeks. Then your piece will be ready to pick up from my studio or shipped to your home. Session Includes: 90 minutes- 2 hours of instruction Materials 1 finished piece *Note: 1 extra piece can be finished for extra fee of $5. Venmo, Apple Pay and cash is accepted after lesson is over for additional pieces This class is recommended for ages 10 and up. If you have anyone younger than 10 that is interested in clay I would recommend my Play with Clay class. It's great for all ages! The hours of studio classes are limited, if none of these times work send me an email and we can set up a time that works for you. Before you book this lesson, make sure to read the Things to Know page. It has important information like parking, arrival time, what to wear, weather and how your nails can interfere with the throwing process. Please read it before you book! Location will be sent once you have booked the session.

Cancellation Policy

In the event you cannot make it to your scheduled class you need to contact me to reschedule at least 24 hrs in advance. If no contact is made your payment will not be refunded.
